Our Story —
Born from a Love of Paradise

For more than 15 years, tourism has been a major part of my life. But long before True Paradise Tours became what it is today, there was simply a genuine passion for travelling, discovering new places, meeting people and experiencing different cultures.

Over the years, that passion grew into an idea - what if we could create a travel company that offered people the same excitement, care and personal experiences that we loved about travelling ourselves?

That idea became True Paradise Tours.

What started as a dream has grown into a journey of its own - welcoming travellers from around the world to Sri Lanka while also helping Sri Lankan travellers discover incredible destinations beyond our shores.

As the Managing Director of True Paradise Tours, I’m fortunate to experience both sides of travel. I love welcoming travelers to Sri Lanka and showing them the beauty, culture, food, history, and warmth of our island. At the same time, I enjoy helping our guests from Sri Lanka discover exciting destinations around the world through our outbound tours.

One of the things I love most about Sri Lanka is that there is always another story waiting around the corner. One day you can be standing among thousands of years of history, and the next you can be watching elephants in the wild or enjoying a beautiful sunset by the ocean.

And honestly, if you ask me what my favorite part of tourism is, I’d probably say seeing a traveler arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend. That’s the kind of journey I want to create at True Paradise Tours.

Travel has always fascinated me because every destination has its own personality, and every traveler has their own story. Over the years, being part of the tourism industry has given me the wonderful opportunity to connect with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds.

As Director of True Paradise Tours, I enjoy building the relationships that make great journeys possible. From our trusted partners and hotels to guides and travel professionals, I believe that when good people work together, travelers feel the difference.

I especially love seeing the excitement on a traveler’s face when they discover something unexpected - a beautiful view, a local dish they’ve never tried before, or a hidden place they didn’t even know existed.

Sri Lanka is incredibly special to me because it has so much packed into one little island. Beaches, mountains, wildlife, history, culture, adventure - you can have breakfast by the ocean and be surrounded by misty mountains a few hours later!

And when our travelers head overseas, I love helping them find that same sense of wonder in destinations around the world.

For me, the best part of travel is not simply reaching the destination - it’s everything you discover along the way.

I’ve always believed that the little things can make a big difference when you travel. A perfectly timed pickup, a comfortable hotel, a friendly guide, or simply knowing that someone is there when you need help can completely change the way you experience a holiday.

That’s what I love about my role at True Paradise Tours. As Operations Manager, my role goes far beyond simply managing day-to-day operations. I’m involved in many of the details that keep our entire travel operation moving - from coordinating travel agents and suppliers to managing bookings, documentation, visa processes, transportation, hotels and countless other arrangements behind the scenes.

While our travelers are busy taking photographs, tasting new food, exploring new places, and enjoying their holidays, I’m probably somewhere checking schedules, coordinating transport, talking with hotels, or making sure everyone is exactly where they need to be!

And when our guests travel overseas with us, I enjoy making sure they receive the same care and attention from the moment they leave Sri Lanka until they return home.

For me, this isn’t simply a job.

It’s a responsibility I genuinely care about.

I take pride in knowing that every small detail I manage can make someone’s holiday easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable.

My favorite moment is when a traveler tells me, “Everything was so easy!” - because that usually means all the hard work behind the scenes went perfectly.

I have a slightly different way of experiencing travel. While many people are busy enjoying the view, I’m sometimes thinking, “That would make a great reel!”

At True Paradise Tours, I get to combine two things I genuinely enjoy - technology and creativity. I work with our digital systems while also helping bring our travel experiences to life through social media.

I love capturing the places, people, food, adventures, and random little moments that make traveling in Sri Lanka so special. A beautiful sunset, an exciting safari, a hidden waterfall, a delicious local meal, or even a funny moment on the road can become a story that inspires someone on the other side of the world.

And yes, I’ve definitely said, “Wait, do that again for the reel!” more times than I probably should.

Being part of Gen Z, I naturally see travel through a digital lens. We discover places through Instagram, TikTok, reels, reviews, and recommendations from people around the world. Sometimes one short video is enough to make someone add a destination to their bucket list.

That’s what I enjoy most about my role - using technology and creativity to make people curious about travel before they even arrive.

And when I’m not behind a screen, I’m always up for exploring Sri Lanka and discovering the next place worth putting on the feed.

If one of our reels makes you stop scrolling and think, “Okay… I NEED to go there!”-then I’ve done my job.

I’m one of those people who genuinely enjoys talking to travelers, hearing what they want from their trip, and helping turn their ideas into an actual journey.

As a Customer Care Officer at True Paradise Tours, I’m usually busy managing calls, speaking with customers, preparing itineraries, answering questions, and making sure our travelers feel comfortable from the very first conversation.

For me, creating an itinerary isn’t just about putting destinations on a schedule. It’s about understanding the person behind the trip. Maybe they want adventure, maybe they want to relax by the beach, maybe they want to explore Sri Lankan culture - or maybe they want to fit in absolutely everything!

I love building genuine connections with customers because travel is personal. People are trusting us with their holidays, their special moments, and sometimes even their dream trips. I want them to feel that they’re talking to someone who actually listens and cares.

And of course, I love traveling too!

I enjoy exploring Sri Lanka and discovering new places, but I also have a big love for traveling around the world. Every destination has something different to teach you - new people, new cultures, new food, new experiences, and new stories.

Being Gen Z, I’m definitely the type to save a hundred travel videos, make a bucket list, and then start planning the trip!

For me, the best part of customer care is when a simple conversation turns into someone’s next unforgettable adventure.
